Vidyasaathi Prakashan

Vidyasaathi Prakashan is run out of House B13 in Ishan Bagh. We are situated on Pawan Chakki Road in the Nadiyal area. This is a residential neighborhood, so it’s fairly quiet most of the time, except when the kids are coming home from school. We do publishing work, mostly focusing on local materials and small print runs. I started this in one of the spare rooms of the house and it just sort of took over the whole bottom floor eventually. There are stacks of paper and ink bottles everywhere you look. It's a bit of a squeeze to get through the hallway sometimes. My family helps out when things get really busy, like when we have a big deadline for a local pamphlet or a small book. We don't have a big storefront with glass windows. It's just a house where we do our work. People who know us just knock on the gate. Nadiyal is a good place to be, and Pawan Chakki Road is easy enough for the delivery vans to find. We aren't trying to be a giant publishing house. We just like helping people get their words into print. The machines can be quite loud when they are running, so we try not to work too late so the neighbors don't get annoyed. It is a simple business, built on hard work and a lot of caffeine. We take things one day at a time here.
