Methodist Mission Hospital

You can find us on Mission Road. The hospital has been sitting on this road for a long time, and the building definitely shows its age in some spots. It isn't one of those new, shiny hospitals with glass elevators and fancy cafeterias. We have old-fashioned wards and simple rooms. The floors have seen a lot of feet over the years. Being on Mission Road means we are right in the thick of things. It’s a busy street and there is always something going on outside our doors. We don't have a big budget for advertising or making the place look like a hotel. We just use what we have to take care of the people who come in. Most of our staff have been here for years and they know the community inside and out. It’s a mission hospital, so we just focus on the practical side of medicine. The waiting areas can get pretty crowded, especially on hot days, but we do what we can to keep people comfortable. We don't have a corporate office or a big board of directors. It’s just a group of us working here on the road. We’ve seen many changes in the neighborhood, but the hospital stays pretty much the same. It’s a solid, reliable place for folks who need us. We just keep going day by day.
