Jai Bhavani Seat Lining Works

We’ve been here at Jai Bhavani Seat Lining Works for a good while now, right across from Jai Corner near Keta Talav. Most people in Nadiad know the spot on College Road. It’s not a fancy place, just a workspace where we get things done every day. You’ll usually hear the sewing machines going or see us measuring out materials for seats. The shop is tucked into a busy part of town, so there’s always noise from the street coming in. We spend a lot of time on our feet, working with foam and fabric. Sometimes the heat gets a bit much, but we keep the fans going and just get on with it. It’s the kind of work where your hands stay busy and you’re constantly looking at small details. People drop by after seeing the sign while they're heading towards the talav. We have stacks of different materials piled up in the corners, and the floor usually has bits of thread or scraps of lining left over from the last job. It’s just us doing what we know how to do. Some days are packed with work and others are a bit slower, giving us time to organize the tools or chat with the neighbors. We’ve seen the area change over the years, but the shop stays pretty much the same. It’s just a practical place for practical work here in Kheda.
