C. B. Patel Arts College

Our college is located on the main campus in Nadia Kheda, over here in Nadiad, Gujarat. It's a bit of a trek from the main part of town but the campus is quite large once you get here. We have been running the arts programs here for quite some years. The buildings are older, built with that solid style they used to use for institutions. We have long corridors and high ceilings, which really helps when the Gujarat sun gets really hot in the afternoons. There are a lot of students coming and going throughout the day for different lectures, so it never stays quiet for long. We have a library with rows of old books and some classrooms with heavy wooden desks that have been there for decades. It’s not a fancy new university with glass walls, just a regular arts college where people come to study literature and history. We spend our time managing the schedules and making sure the exams happen on time without any hitches. The administrative office is always full of stacks of paper, files, and some old computers that still work. We have some large trees around the grounds where students sit and talk between their lectures. It’s a simple environment. We don't have high-tech labs because we are focused on the arts and humanities. Most of us have been working here for a long time and we know the rhythms of the college year. It’s just a place of learning where things move at a steady, local pace for everyone.
