Kailash Hardware Electrical Stores

We started this hardware shop in Ghanekunt village quite a while back. It’s a quiet place in Khed taluka, but folks here always need something fixed or replaced. We keep a good stock of electrical wires, switches, and the usual hardware like nails, hammers, and hinges. The Ratnagiri weather can be really tough on houses because of the rain, so things tend to rust or break more often than you would think. Most of our mornings start with a neighbor coming in for a specific plumbing joint or a bulb that finally blew out. We try to keep the shelves full because the nearest big town is a long drive away and nobody wants to go that far for a few screws. Sometimes it’s just us sitting here waiting for the afternoon bus to pass by the store. We know most of the people who walk through the door by their first name. If someone is building a small shed or fixing a fence, they usually stop by to see what we have in the bins. It’s not a fancy place, just a simple room full of boxes and metal shelves. We do all our own accounts on a small desk in the corner. Sometimes we run out of certain pipe fittings, but we just get them on the next truck coming from the main market. Being near Lote, we also get workers from the industrial area looking for heavy-duty tools. It’s a basic, steady life running a store here.
