Saksham Industries

Saksham Industries is based out in Nanekarwadi, which is part of the Chakan area. If you know the road through Khed, you know the traffic can be a real headache some mornings. We are located at Gat No. 285. It’s a busy spot with a lot of manufacturing going on all around us. The building itself is pretty basic, just a shed with some machines and a small space for us to sit and handle the paperwork. We mostly handle components that go into bigger machines. It’s dusty work, and the floors are always covered in metal shavings by the end of the shift. We have a small crew of workers from the nearby villages who have been coming here every day for years. They know the machines better than anyone else. We don't really have a big corporate structure. If something breaks, we fix it ourselves. If a customer has a question, they just walk in through the main door and ask us. We don't have a receptionist to filter calls. Most of the time, the radio is playing in the background while the guys work. It’s a bit of a trek to get out here from Pune city, but we like being where the action is. The weather gets pretty dry, so we drink a lot of water and just keep the production line going until it’s time to go home.
