Maa Gange Shg

Maa Gange Shg is located in Jhankat, which is a part of Khateema. If you know the Udham Singh Nagar area, you might have passed through here once or twice. We are just a small group of women from the neighborhood who decided to start something of our own. Mostly, we sit together and work on different tasks depending on what is needed that day. It started out as a way to get out of the house and earn a bit of extra money for our families. There is usually a lot of talking and tea drinking while we work. It’s not a very formal place. We don't have fancy titles or a big boss telling everyone what to do. We just figure things out as we go. Sometimes it gets a bit chaotic when there is a lot of work to finish, but we always manage to get it done. The building in Jhankat isn't very large, but it's enough for what we need. Living in Udham Singh Nagar means we are used to the changing seasons and how they affect our work schedule. We try to help each other out if someone is busy at home or has a sick child. It feels more like a family than a business most of the time. We just take things one day at a time and hope that what we make is good enough for the people who use it. It's nothing special, just our daily lives.
