General Electric Engineering Works

General Electric Engineering Works is situated right near the Roadways Bus Stand. It is a busy spot because of all the buses coming and going, so there is always a crowd and some noise nearby. We do engineering repairs and fabrication work in our shop. It is a place filled with tools, welding machines, and bits of metal. It can get pretty greasy and loud when the machines are running, but that is how an engineering workshop should be. We don’t have a polished waiting room with magazines. If you come by, you will probably find us in our overalls working on a project. We handle a lot of different jobs, some small and some quite big, for people in the local area. Most of our customers are folks who have known us for years or people who saw our sign while waiting for their bus. We don’t really do online marketing or social media. We just focus on fixing things correctly so they do not break again next week. Sometimes we are backed up with work and things take a little longer, but we try to be honest about the timing. It is just a group of us who know our way around machinery and like to work with our hands. We take pride in the stuff we build or fix, even if the shop looks a bit messy at the end of a long day.
