If you head out towards Zirnia Road in Bhikangaon, you will find Pratham Cotspin. We are located right there in the Khargone district of Madhya Pradesh. It is a bit different from being in a big city like Indore or Gwalior. Here, things feel a little slower and there is a lot more dust from the road. We spend our days working with cotton spinning and everything that goes into that process. The building is a sturdy one, built to handle the work we do. It is often quite loud inside because of the machinery and the movement of goods. We have a small team of local people who come in every day to help out. We don't have any fancy mission statements or anything like that; we just focus on the cotton and making sure it is processed the way it should be. The weather really affects us here—when it rains, the road gets muddy, and when it's dry, the dust gets into everything. We usually have a big jug of water in the corner and a simple table where we take our breaks. It is hard work and our hands usually stay pretty dirty, but that is just part of the job. We are just a local business doing our part in the cotton industry out here in Bhikangaon.
