If you ever find yourself in Kharar, Punjab, you might see Harry Tour And Travel. We are based out of Shop No. 1 in the Durga Dass Estate. It’s a straightforward little office where we handle all the travel stuff. Kharar is a place that’s always changing, but our spot in the estate stays pretty much the same. We have some posters of different places on the walls, mostly just to cover up the plain paint and give people something to look at. The office isn’t anything special to look at, just some chairs and a table where we talk to people about where they want to go. Being in Punjab, we get a lot of people looking to head out on trips, and we just sit down and figure out the details for them. The Durga Dass Estate is easy enough to find once you are in the area. We have our routine here. We open up the shutters, turn on the lights, and wait for the phone to start ringing. Sometimes people just wander in to ask about bus or train timings or just to say hello. We don't have a big corporate team, it's just us running the show. The tea guy comes by a few times a day, which is always a nice break. We've got a lot of files and maps tucked away in the corners of the room. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze when more than three people are inside, but we make it work.
