Pradhan Industries

In Kharagpur, things move at their own pace, and Pradhan Industries is right in the middle of it. Our place isn't anything special to look at from the outside. It’s just a solid building where we do our manufacturing work. Most of us grew up around here, so we know the people and the way things work in this town. The floor is always covered in scraps and there is a constant hum from the equipment that you eventually stop noticing. We don't spend money on shiny signs or big advertisements because we are too busy actually doing the work. Sometimes the weather gets really hot and the fans just move the warm air around, but we keep at it anyway. We have a small crew and everyone knows their role. If something goes wrong with a machine, we usually fix it ourselves. It's practical work for practical people. We don't have a lot of meetings or long discussions. We just look at what needs to be made and then we make it. If you come by, you might find us in the middle of a big project with stuff spread everywhere. That’s just how we operate. We value getting the measurements right more than having a tidy desk. It’s a bit of a rough environment, but it works for us and the people who come to us for help with their projects. We’ve been in this location for a while and the neighbors know us by the sound of the afternoon shift starting up.
