Out here in Village Salika, things move at their own pace. Dhananjay Yadav & Co. is basically just a local operation we run from this part of West Midnapur. Being near Kalaikunda means we see a lot of the same faces every week. It’s a quiet area, mostly just fields and small houses around the post office in Hariatara. We aren't some big city firm with shiny glass walls. It’s a practical setup. I started this because there wasn't much else around here and I wanted to work near home. My cousins help out when things get busy. We spend a lot of time just talking to folks who stop by. The roads out here aren't always the best, especially when it rains, but we make it work. Most of our tools are a bit old, but they still do the job fine. We don't have a website or anything like that, just our name on the door and our reputation in the village. It’s honest work. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit outside until it comes back on. That’s just life in Salika. We try to help out whenever someone in the district needs something we can handle. It’s not a fancy life, but it’s ours. If you find yourself near the Hariatara post office, you’re pretty much there. We’ll likely be around, just working through the daily list. It’s a simple living for us out here.
