Atanu Samanta & Co.

We are out here in Sankachua village. It’s part of the Panchgeria post office area, right under the Debra police station in West Midnapur. Things move a bit slower in this part of the district compared to the big cities. Our office at Atanu Samanta & Co. isn’t much to look at, just a place where we get the day's work done. Some days the roads are dusty and other days the rain makes everything a bit of a mess. People from around here know where to find us. We’ve been at this spot for a while now. Most of the staff comes in from nearby villages. You’ll see us mostly busy with paperwork or talking to folks who stop by. There isn’t much fancy equipment around, just the basics like desks and chairs. We try to keep things organized even when it gets busy during the middle of the week. Sometimes the power goes out and we just wait it out or find something else to do. It is a quiet life in West Midnapur mostly. The local market is not too far so there is always someone coming or going. We don’t have a big sign or anything, just the usual local setup. If you are passing through Debra, you might see the turnoff for Sankachua. We are just local people doing our bit. Nothing more, nothing less. It gets hot in the summer but we have a few fans going. That's about it for us.
