Aptara

Our place is out on the Premnagar Road, specifically near Badowala and Arkediya Grant. It is a bit of a drive from the main Dehradun city center, but it’s quieter out here, which is nice for getting things done. Aptara has been set up in this spot for some time now. The road can get quite dusty, especially when the big trucks go by, but you get used to it. We spend most of our mornings just getting the systems started and having a quick tea before the real work kicks in. It isn't a massive corporate building or anything like that. It’s more of a practical space where we handle all the publishing and data work that comes our way. Sometimes the electricity acts up, but that is just part of living in Uttarakhand. We have some plants by the window that struggle a bit in the summer, though they look great when the monsoon arrives. It is a bit of a trek to get here via Premnagar, but the surroundings are green and it beats being stuck in a cramped office in the middle of a market. Most of the staff comes from nearby villages or from the city side. We just keep our heads down and get through the piles of work on our desks. It’s just a normal day-to-day routine for us here in this corner of the district. It is a peaceful spot mostly, except for the occasional noise from the road.
