H. N. M. Accessories Exports

You have to climb up to the 3rd floor of Peeli Kothi to find us. H. N. M. Accessories Exports is based at number 27. The building is known as Peeli Kothi because of its yellow color, though it’s faded a bit over the years. Being on the third floor means we get a bit of a workout every time we have to bring supplies up or take finished goods down. There isn’t a lift that works consistently, so we just use the stairs. Our workspace is filled with accessories of all kinds. There are small bins full of buttons, beads, and whatever else we are exporting that month. It’s a bit of a jumble, but there’s a system to it that only we really understand. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who know the routine. The windows look out over the street, but we’re usually too busy to look out of them. We don't go in for corporate talk or polished brochures. We just show our samples and get to work. It can get quite warm in the afternoons, but we have a couple of fans that keep the air moving. We’re just a small outfit in a yellow building, trying to keep things moving and making sure every accessory is accounted for before it leaves. We usually lock up around six and head home to our families.
