If you walk down Vitthal Mandir Gali towards Ghanta Ghar Chowk, you’ll find our spot. It’s right in the middle of all the chaos of the clock tower area. The lane is quite narrow, so getting our delivery vans in and out is always a bit of a puzzle. We handle a lot of different drinks and bottles, so the sound of glass clinking is basically the background noise of our lives. The shop is small and usually packed high with crates from floor to ceiling. When the clock tower chimes, we know exactly what time of day it is without even looking at our watches. It’s a hot job, especially when we’re moving heavy cases around in the afternoon sun. We usually have a few regular customers who stop by every single day for their supplies. The neighborhood is old, and everyone knows everyone else’s business. We’ve got a small fan that barely does anything, but we keep it running anyway. It’s a busy, cramped, and noisy way to work, but it feels right for being at Ghanta Ghar Chowk. We don't spend money on fancy signs or anything like that. People know where we are if they need something to drink. We just focus on keeping the crates organized and making sure the orders are ready when the trucks show up in the morning.
