Nimkar Creations

Nimkar Creations is right at Sitla Mata Bazar Chowk on M.G. Road. If you know this part of town, you know it is always crowded. There are always people walking by and cars honking at each other. We have been in this spot for a long time. The shop gets a lot of light in the morning through the front window. We spend most of our time at the back working on orders. It gets loud in the afternoon. Sometimes we have to shout to hear each other over the noise of the market outside. We drink a lot of chai during the day. Someone always goes out to get it from the corner shop in a metal carrier. Our walls are a bit faded and the paint is peeling in some spots. We thought about painting them last year but we never got around to it. It doesn't really matter as long as the work gets done. Most of us live nearby so the commute isn't too bad for the staff. We see the same faces every day in the market. It feels like a small community even though it is a very busy street. We don't have a big sign outside. Just the name Nimkar Creations painted on the door. People find us anyway. Sometimes we stay late when a big order comes in. We just put some music on the radio and keep going. The floor is old wood and it creaks when you walk on it. It’s a simple place. We don't do anything special for visitors. They just pull up a stool and wait. That is how we like it. We focus on the tasks at hand and try to stay organized without any fuss.
