Our office is at 18 Medical Colony in the Anand Nagar area of Khandwa. It’s a fairly quiet neighborhood, which is good because it lets us focus on our work. The building itself is a bit older, and the paint is peeling in a few spots, but it serves its purpose. We don't have a lot of fancy furniture or high-tech gadgets. Mostly, it’s just sturdy wooden desks and a lot of filing cabinets. We focus a lot on the rural areas around here, so we spend a fair amount of time out on the road. When we are in the office, it’s a lot of catch-up work. We deal with a lot of different people from the surrounding villages. They often come in with stories to tell, and we listen while we work through the forms and applications. It can be a bit slow going sometimes, especially when the power cuts out, which happens more than we’d like. But we just light a few candles or wait for it to come back on. We don't have a big corporate hierarchy here. Everyone just chips in and does what’s needed. It’s a practical, no-nonsense environment. We aren't here to make a big splash; we’re just here to do the job we set out to do. It’s simple, honest work that keeps us busy from morning till night. We keep the tea hot and the files sorted.
