Our hospital is right on Wyra Road in Khammam, directly across from that big South India Shopping Mall. If you are from around here, you know that part of Zone 7 is always moving with people and cars. It gets pretty loud outside with all the honking, but inside we try to keep things moving as smoothly as we can for the patients. There are quite a few of us working here, dealing with all sorts of medical cases that come through the doors every morning. Some people travel a long distance from the outer villages to see the doctors. The lobby usually has a mix of families waiting and kids running around. Since we have several floors, the elevators can be a bit slow when it's the middle of the day. Our staff spends a lot of time on their feet, walking between the wards and the front desk. We don’t have any of those shiny, corporate waiting rooms, just regular chairs and a lot of activity. Around lunch time, someone usually goes out to grab tiffins for the nurses. It’s a busy life here in Khammam, and being right on the main road means we see just about everything. We just focus on getting the work done and making sure everyone gets seen by the right person before the sun goes down and the next shift takes over.
