Venkataramana Rocks

We are over here at Plot 33/19 in Laxmipuram. It’s a quiet village mostly, except when the machines are running at Venkataramana Rocks. People around Mudigonda know where we are because of the sign. We’ve been at this spot for a while now. Some days are really busy with the trucks coming in and out, and the dust gets on everything. You just get used to it after a few weeks of working here. The guys start early in the morning before the sun gets too hot. It’s hard work, but someone has to do it. We don't have a fancy office or anything like that. Just a simple place to sit and some chairs for people when they come to visit. Sometimes the electricity goes out in the village and everything stops for a bit. That’s when we usually grab some tea from the shop down the road. It’s not a big operation, but we stay steady. Most of us live nearby, so it’s not a long walk to get to the site. We just focus on the stones and making sure things are cut right. There isn't much to say other than we are just a local group trying to get the day’s work done. If you ever find yourself in this part of Mudigonda, you will see the piles of rock and the gate. That is where we will be every day.
