U G Engineerings

U G Engineerings is a small engineering shop located at Shop No-11-10-694/22/C in the Burhanpuram area of Khammam. We have been here for a good while now, working out of this single unit in the Khammam Urban Mandal. The shop is filled with all sorts of metal scraps, lathes, and welding gear. It is a bit of a mess to the untrained eye, but we know where everything is kept. Most of the work involves fixing parts for local machinery or doing small fabrication jobs for people in the district. You will always hear the sound of metal grinding or the hum of the welding machine if you walk past. It gets pretty hot inside, especially during the summer months when the tin roof picks up all the heat. We don't have a big team, just myself and two boys who are learning the trade. We take on whatever comes through the door, whether it is a broken gate or a part for a tractor that nobody else wants to touch. We spend a lot of time measuring things and trying to get the welds right. The floor is usually covered in metal shavings and oil spills, but we try to clean it up at the end of every week. It is a simple life of working with your hands and getting things fixed. People in Khammam know they can find us here from early morning until late in the evening most days.
