Thigulla Shop

Thigulla Shop is over at 6-1-163, V V Palem in Khammam. It’s a local spot where we have been for a good while. The shop is filled with all sorts of things, and sometimes it’s hard to find a place to stand when we get a new shipment in. We spend the morning unpacking crates and putting things on the shelves. It’s dusty work, and the Khammam heat can be quite a bit in the afternoon, so we keep the fans on high. People from V V Palem stop by all the time, sometimes just to chat for a minute. We don't have a computer system; we just use a notebook to keep track of things. It’s easier that way for us. The building is old but sturdy enough. We have to keep an eye on the roof when it rains, but otherwise, it’s fine. We aren't looking to grow into some big chain. We just like having our own little place here. Every day is pretty much the same routine. We open up, see who comes in, and try to keep things in order. It’s a lot of physical work, lifting bags and moving boxes around. We get tired by the evening, but it’s a good kind of tired. There isn't any fancy marketing here. Just a sign and the items we have for sale. It’s a basic life in Khammam.
