Sri Venkateswara Filling Station

We are located right near the Grain Market in Khammam, over at Bijjala Vari Thota. It’s a busy corner, especially in the mornings when the trucks are moving. We’ve been running this filling station for quite some time now. People know us as the place to stop before they head out on the long roads. It’s mostly just filling up tanks and checking oil. We see all kinds of vehicles, from small scooters to the big lorries coming from the market. The air usually smells like petrol and exhaust, but we’re used to it. My staff and I take turns on the pumps. It’s physical work, standing out there in the heat or the rain, but someone has to do it. We don't have fancy gadgets, just the pumps and the billing machine. Sometimes we have a chat with the regulars while their tanks fill up. You hear a lot of news from the road that way. The H. No is 4-5-54/5 if you're looking on a map, but most people just find us by looking for the Grain Market sign. It’s a straightforward life. We open early and close late to make sure everyone has enough fuel to get where they are going. No big fuss, just keeping the engines running. It's the kind of place where you know the rhythm of the traffic by the sound of the engines. We don't plan on moving anytime soon.
