Sri Srinivasa Nursing Home

If you walk just behind the RTC bus stand in Bhadrachalam, you will find our nursing home at D. No: 12-2-17/A. It’s a convenient spot because people coming in from the villages can find us without much trouble. The atmosphere here is usually a mix of quiet waiting and the busy footsteps of the staff. We’ve been here for a long time, and the building shows its age in some places, but we keep it as tidy as we can. Being so close to the bus stand means there is a constant background noise of horns and engines, but inside we try to keep things calm for everyone. My shift usually starts with a quick walkthrough to see who stayed overnight and what the day looks like. We don’t have those huge shiny lobbies you see in the big city hospitals. Sri Srinivasa Nursing Home is more of a local place where everyone knows each other’s names. The corridors are a bit narrow, and the lighting is sometimes a bit dim in the back, but it serves its purpose. We deal with all sorts of people every day, from tired travelers to local families. It’s hard work and the hours are long, especially when we are short-handed. But this is where we are, right in the heart of Bhadrachalam, doing what we can with the resources we have at hand.
