Shankar Traders

Shankar Traders is located at Plot No.9-56-2 in Aswaraopet. We’re quite easy to find since we are right near Andhra Bank Road. It’s a good spot because people are always passing by on their way to the bank or the other small shops on the main road. The shop is mostly filled with stock piled up to the ceiling in some places. It can be a bit of a squeeze to get around the aisles sometimes. We deal with various items and things move in and out pretty quickly. It’s just me and a couple of helpers working here most days. We start early in the morning, unlocking the heavy shutters and sweeping the front step. Aswaraopet is a nice enough town, and we know most of the regular people who live nearby. They often stop by just to chat or see what we have in stock that week. The weather gets really hot here during the day, so we usually have the big ceiling fan going on high all day long. There’s a lot of dust that comes in from the road when the wind blows, so we are constantly wiping things down with a rag. We don't have a website or anything fancy like that. Most of our business is just through word of mouth or people seeing our sign as they walk by. It’s a simple way to run a business, but it works for us. We keep track of everything in our big paper ledgers every night.
