Mamata Medical College

We are located at Door No 4-2-161 in Khammam. This is a big place and it has been part of the landscape here for quite a while. If you walk through the gates, you’ll see it’s a busy spot. It’s a medical college, so there are always students in their white coats carrying heavy books. They are usually rushing to catch a lecture or heading over to the hospital side. The building is older, with wide hallways that stay cool even when it’s hot outside. We have labs that smell like chemicals and classrooms with rows of wooden benches. It’s a very practical environment. We aren't trying to look like a high-tech office. It’s about learning the work of being a doctor. Managing everything here takes a lot of effort from the staff and the faculty. Most of the people working here are from around this area. We have a canteen where everyone grabs a quick tea or some rice when they have a break. Sometimes the halls are quiet during exams, but mostly it’s a noisy, active place. We just try to keep the facilities running so the students can study. It’s a lot of long hours for everyone involved. We don't use fancy words to talk about it. It’s just a place in Khammam where people come to learn medicine and help out in the hospital side. We do our work and keep the building open.
