Mahalakshmi Industries

Our shop, Mahalakshmi Industries, is at 455/23/1, right on the Main Road. Being on the main road means we see a lot of people passing by, but it also means a lot of noise and dust. We’ve been here for quite some time now. The building is a simple one, nothing too flashy, just enough room for the machines and the inventory. Most days it’s just the sound of the equipment running and the occasional truck stopping by to drop off materials. We don’t have a big staff, just a few of us who know the routine inside and out. We start early, usually before the traffic gets too bad, and we finish up when the sun starts going down. My desk is right by the front door, so I can see everyone who walks in. We don’t use any complicated systems for our work. It’s all very straightforward. If someone needs something made or fixed, they just bring it in and we talk about it. We’ve got some old calendars on the wall and a small shrine for luck. It feels like home because we spend more time here than anywhere else. We don’t try to be the biggest or the fanciest place around. We just want to do the work right and keep the place running for another year. It’s a simple business on a busy road, and we like it that way.
