Badhradri Bricks

We’ve been here in Manuguru for a while now, right near the bus stop where everyone passes by. Badhradri Bricks isn't a fancy place, just a yard where we keep the fires going to make bricks for folks in town. Most days start early before the sun gets too hot, and we spend our time checking the kilns or making sure the trucks get loaded right. It’s hard work, and sometimes the mud gets everywhere, but that’s just how it goes with this kind of job. People stop by all the time asking if we have stock ready, and we usually do, unless the rain has been heavy lately. We don't have a big office or anything, just the site here in Manuguru where we handle everything ourselves. My hands are usually stained with clay, but I don't mind it much after all these years. We just focus on getting the bricks out to whoever needs them for their walls or houses. Sometimes the traffic by the bus stop makes it a bit loud, but you get used to it. We aren't trying to be the biggest around, just keeping the business running and the stacks high. If you walk past the bus station, you’ll see the smoke from the chimneys. It’s a simple setup, really. We just keep our heads down and work. There’s always more dirt to move and more bricks to bake, so the days go by pretty fast for us here. We like the local feel of this spot.
