Baburao Vermi Compost

If you come down to Gundala Thanda Village, you will find us at House Number 1-167. This is a rural part of Khammam, so things move a bit slower here than they do in the main town. Baburao Vermi Compost is really just about the soil and the worms. We spend a lot of our time out in the pits, checking on the beds and making sure the waste is breaking down correctly. It is a messy job, but there is something good about working with the earth every day. The village is quiet, mostly just the sound of cows and the occasional tractor passing by on the dirt roads. We have been doing this here in the Khammam Rural Mandal for a while now. Our hands are always in the dirt, and the smell of decomposing organic matter is something we just got used to years ago. It isn't a big corporate farm; it is a local operation run right from the village. We have our routine, starting before the sun gets too high because the heat in Telangana can be really tough by midday. We keep the compost beds covered and moist, and we spend our afternoons bagging the finished stuff or turning the piles. It is basic work, nothing fancy about it. Just honest labor in the village, trying to make the best compost we can from what the land gives us. It is just us here every day, working with the ground to make something useful.
