Aruna Sri Nayak Ambulance Services

We run our ambulance service out of Islavath Thanda Village in Mohammadapuram Gp. The address is H. No. 4-35/10, right here in the Thirumalayapalem Mandal of Khammam district. It’s a job that keeps us on our toes because you never know when the phone is going to ring. We spend a lot of time sitting in the vehicle or checking the oxygen tanks and stretchers to make sure they are ready. The roads around here can be pretty rough, especially after it rains, so we have to be careful when we are driving. It’s not a big company with a fleet of hundreds of cars, just us trying to help our local community when there is an emergency. We know the shortcuts through the villages and which hospitals are the best to go to. Sometimes we are working in the middle of the night when everyone else is asleep. It can be tiring and stressful, but it’s the work we chose to do. We don't have a fancy office or a receptionist; the calls usually come straight to us on our personal phones. We just try to get there as fast as we can without making mistakes. It’s a hard life sometimes but someone has to do it for the people living out here in the mandal. We just stay ready for the next call no matter when it comes through.
