Unique Agate And Gems

Our little shop, Unique Agate And Gems, is right in the middle of Pith Bazar, not far from the Nagina Masjid. It is a crowded area, but we like the energy. We have been dealing with stones for quite some time now. You will see all sorts of pieces spread out on the counters when you walk in. Some are rough and straight from the ground, while others have been polished up a bit. We spend a lot of our mornings sorting through bags of agate and different gems. It is a lot of looking closely at colors and cracks. My father used to do this, and I just sort of picked it up from him as I grew up. The shop is small, and sometimes the light isn't the best, so we have to take things out to the doorway to see the true color of a stone. People come in looking for something for a ring or just a nice piece to keep on a shelf. We do not have fancy displays or anything like that. It is mostly just wooden drawers and glass cases that have seen better days. It gets noisy outside with the market crowd, but inside it is mostly just the sound of stones clicking together. We take our time with customers. If someone wants to look at twenty different pieces before picking one, that is fine with us. It is just how we do business here in the bazar.
