We’re located at number 67 in the GIDC area of Kansari, over in Khambhat in the Anand district. Our place is called 'Abhilash' and it’s right opposite Kevdabaug, near the Bethak Mandir. It’s an area with a lot of local history and we like being here. At Namdhari Machine Tools, we deal with exactly what the name suggests. We have different kinds of tools and various machinery parts for all sorts of uses. The shop floor is usually a bit greasy and there’s always that distinct smell of metal and oil in the air. We spend a lot of our time looking through old catalogs or checking the parts we have tucked away on the shelves. It’s a lot of technical stuff to keep track of. People come to us when they need a specific tool for their own workshop or a replacement part for a machine that broke down unexpectedly. We’ve been around this part of Gujarat for quite a while now. It’s definitely not a polished corporate office. It’s a real, working machine tool shop. We have stacks of metal bits and heavy equipment sitting everywhere. Sometimes it takes us a minute to find the exact piece someone is looking for, but we usually get there in the end. The weather gets very hot in the afternoons, so we try to get the heavy lifting done early in the morning. We don't do much marketing or ads.
