We are based in Lal Darwaja, Kathitodu, where we run Ahad Agate Exports. This area has a long history with stones and agates, so we are right in the middle of where everything happens. Our workspace is filled with stones in different stages of being processed. It is a bit messy at times because working with agates involves a lot of grinding and polishing. There is always dust in the air and the sound of tools. We do not have a big corporate setup. It is more of a traditional workshop where we spend our hours looking at stones and sorting them by hand. The Export part of the name means we spend a lot of time packing boxes to send far away. It is interesting to think about where these stones end up. We have been in this spot for years and the locals know our family and the work we do. It is not a fast-paced environment; it takes time to get the stones right. We sit on our stools, check the quality, and keep moving through the crates. We do not bother with fancy brochures or marketing talk. If the stone is good, it speaks for itself. The sun hits the street outside and we just keep at it until the evening. It is simple, honest work that keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday. There is always something new to see in the raw stones that come through our door.
