Shree Ram Janki Iron Stores

We have been running Shree Ram Janki Iron Stores here in Village Basti for a good while now. It’s right in the Khalilabad tehsil part of Sant Kabir Nagar. Mostly we deal with iron stuff, you know, like rods and pipes and things people need for building their houses around the village. It gets pretty dusty out here on the road but that is just how it is. Sometimes the rain makes it hard to move the heavy stock around the yard. We aren't a big city shop with glass doors or anything. It's just a regular place where people from the district come when they need metal. My family and a couple of helpers manage the lifting. We keep the inventory stacked according to size. Some days are busy with tractors coming in and out and other days it is just us sitting around waiting for the next truck to arrive from the main town. Sant Kabir Nagar has changed a bit over the years but the need for solid iron stays the same. We try to keep what people usually ask for so they don't have to travel too far. If you pass through Basti you will see us. It’s not fancy. Just a lot of iron and some hard work every day. We open early because that's when the laborers like to pick up their materials before the sun gets too hot. It is just a simple life running a store in the village.
