Vardayini Food Products

Vardayini Food Products is based out of Mahagaon, right near the post office. We are deep in the Raigad district, so things move a bit slower here than in the big cities. We started out making small batches of food items in our own kitchen and then it just grew into a small business. Most of the people working here are from the village itself. We handle a lot of local ingredients that we get from nearby farms. Sometimes the weather makes it hard to dry things out or process the food, but we manage. The post office next door is a good landmark for anyone trying to find us. We don't have a big office or anything, just our workspace where we pack everything. My family helps out with the labeling and the heavy lifting. It’s hard work and the days are long, but we like being in Mahagaon. We sell to some shops around the district and people sometimes come straight to us too. We aren't trying to be some huge company, just making enough to keep things going. The air is good here and we know everyone who walks past. Our machines are old but they still do the job fine. It’s a simple setup we’ve got. We try to keep things clean and keep the quality decent for our neighbors who buy from us. It’s just us doing our best with what we have in the village.
