Mahalaxmi Udyog

Mahalaxmi Udyog is situated in the Kasal Khand MIDC area, specifically on the Green, Kon Savla Road that leads toward Patal Ganga Road in Panvel. Being in an industrial zone like MIDC means we are surrounded by other factories and workshops. There is always the smell of grease or smoke in the air and the sound of machinery humming in the distance. Our place is pretty typical for Panvel—a bit worn down by the heavy rains we get every year. The warehouse is big enough to hold what we need, but it always feels a bit cramped once the new stock arrives. We spend our days moving crates and checking lists, making sure everything is ready for the transport trucks. It’s a lot of physical labor, and by the end of the day, everyone is pretty tired. We have a small corner for tea where we sit for a few minutes to get away from the noise. It’s not a clean or quiet place. There are grease stains on the floor and the walls could use a fresh coat of paint, but it works for what we do. We don’t use any corporate talk here; we just speak plain and get the job done. It’s a practical, gritty kind of business that fits right in with the rest of the industrial estate and the heavy truck traffic on Patal Ganga Road.
