Agarwal Foods

Way out here in Village Manjhwas, things move a bit slower than in the big cities. Agarwal Foods is located right near the Post Office, so it’s pretty easy to find us if you’re coming through. Being in Tehsil Nagaur, we’re close to the Railway Station, which helps when things need to be moved around. The air is dusty most of the time, and the sun is really strong during the summer months. We started this because we wanted to do something local in our own village. We don’t have a fancy office with air conditioning. It’s just a plain building where we handle the food items. Most of the people working here are from around Manjhwas itself. We know each other’s families and what’s happening in the village. It’s hard work, especially when the weather isn't helping, but we keep at it. The trains coming and going at the station are the background noise of our lives. We don't have any big corporate goals. We just want to make sure the food we handle is decent and that our neighbors are happy. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just sit and wait it out, chatting about the harvest or the news. It’s a simple way of living. We take pride in being a small part of this rural landscape. We don’t use any complicated systems, just pen and paper mostly.
