Our office for Redlands Ashlyn Motors is tucked away on Karikath Lane, just off M.G. Road in Thrissur. We’re quite close to the bus stand, so there is always a lot of movement and noise outside our door. We deal with motors and machinery, which means there’s often a bit of oil on the floor and the smell of metal in the air. It’s a practical environment where we spend our hours checking over equipment and talking to customers about what they need for their vehicles or farms. We don't have a big, shiny showroom with bright lights. Instead, we have a workspace that feels lived-in and functional. The lane is a bit narrow, so parking can be a headache sometimes, but we’ve managed to stay here for a good while. Most of us have been working with engines for years, so we don't need a manual for every little thing. We just get on with the repairs and the paperwork without too much chatter. The tea stall nearby is where we usually end up during breaks, just to step away from the noise of the machinery for a few minutes. It’s a busy life being this close to the heart of Thrissur, but we wouldn’t have it any other way. We just keep our heads down and do the work that comes in. Sometimes the spare parts take a few days to arrive, but we keep everyone updated.
