Kalpana Auto Paint

We are located over in Keota, right by Ram Mohan Park in the Sahaganj area. It is a bit of a trek for some, but we’ve been here for quite some time now. Most days it is just us surrounded by cans of paint and the smell of thinner. People come in looking for specific colors for their old cars or motorbikes, and we do our best to find a match that doesn't look too off. It is dusty work. The shop isn't anything fancy to look at, just a regular place with shelves piled high and a counter that has seen better days. We spend a lot of time mixing things by hand and chatting with the locals who walk past. Sometimes the humidity makes the paint take forever to dry, which can be a bit of a headache during the rainy season. Sahaganj has changed a lot since we first opened, but the park is still there. We open up pretty early because that’s when the light is best for seeing the true colors. It’s mostly just hard work and getting our hands dirty every single day. We don't have a big team, just a few of us who know the inventory well. If you come by, you’ll probably find us moved to the back room where it's a bit cooler. We just keep doing what we know, day in and day out, without making much of a fuss about it.
