Orissa Educational Cultural Trust

Down in Narangapur, Keshadurapal, that is where the Orissa Educational Cultural Trust is based. It’s a bit quieter out here compared to the big cities, which suits the work we do. We mostly deal with local matters, things to do with culture and schools in the area. The office isn't anything special to look at, just a functional space where we keep all the records and organize the programs. Some days it’s just one person here filing papers, and other days the whole place is full of people from the village. We try to keep things organized, but sometimes the paperwork piles up when we're out in the community. The drive to Keshadurapal is nice, lots of green around. We’ve been part of this community for a long time. It’s not about having a fancy building; it’s about being accessible to the people who live nearby. We don't spend money on big signs or advertising. Most people know where we are just by word of mouth. If there's an event coming up, we might be working late into the evening. The local tea stall nearby is where we usually end up talking about the next steps for the trust. It’s just how things work here in Narangapur. We stay busy with the local needs and don’t worry much about anything else. It's a simple life but it keeps us very active.
