Our spot at Qr.No."O"/39 is right in the middle of the company township. It is a standard kind of place, nothing that would stand out to a stranger, but it serves its purpose for our daily operations. Joda is just down the road, and the whole Keonjhar district has that specific smell of earth and metal. Life in the township revolves around the shift timings. When the whistle blows, you see the roads get busy. Here at the office, we handle whatever comes our way, whether it is coordinating with the plant or just keeping the records straight for the 758038 area. It gets pretty hot in the summer months, and the rain turns everything into a bit of a mess, but we keep going regardless. We have been working out of this quarter for a good bit of time. You get to know the neighbors and the delivery guys pretty well. There is no point in trying to make things sound more glamorous than they are. We produce sponge iron and we do it from this corner of the world. It is a lot of hard work and not much rest, but that is just how things go around here in the district.
