Our place is located at Plot NP-1 in Baidyarajsahi. If you know Keonjhar well, you probably know the area. Kailash Swain’s family has been here for a long time, and that's how the business got its roots started. We do infrastructure work, which basically means we handle the heavy stuff that keeps things running around here. It’s not always pretty work, but someone has to do it. We have a few trucks and some machinery parked out back in the lot. The roads around here can be tough, especially during the monsoon, so we have to stay on our toes. Keonjhar is home for us. We don't go trying to work all over the country; we stay mostly local where we know the land and the people. The office is very simple. We don't spend much on decorations because we’re usually out on a site somewhere. It’s a family-run kind of feel even if the name sounds official. We hire local guys who need the work and know how to handle a shovel or a piece of equipment. Sometimes things go slow when the weather is bad or supplies don't show up on time from the vendors, but we manage to get through it. People know where to find us if they have a project in mind. We sit down, talk about what needs doing, and see if we can help. There’s no big sales pitch here. It’s been that way since the start and we don’t see it changing much.
