You’ll find our Smec International Pty Ltd office at Sree Metaliks Ltd on Gurudwara Road. We use PO Box No 28 for our mail. We’re located in Barbil, which is in the Keonjhar district of Orissa. Barbil is a famous place for mining, so there’s always a lot of heavy trucks and red dust in the air. Our office is right on the main Gurudwara Road, which is a central part of the town. It’s a busy stretch of road with plenty of shops and people going about their business. The office itself is pretty basic. We don't have any marble floors or expensive art on the walls. It’s just a place where we sit and get our tasks done. Because of the mining in the area, the whole town has a very industrious feel to it. It’s not a place for tourists, it’s a place for work. We have our windows shut most of the time to keep the dust out, but you can still hear the rumble of the traffic outside. We’ve been here long enough that the local shopkeepers know us by name. It’s a tough, practical environment, but we like it that way. There’s a certain rhythm to life in Keonjhar that you don’t find anywhere else. We just focus on our daily responsibilities and try to keep things organized. It’s a straightforward setup in a hard-working town, and that suits our way of doing things just fine.
