Kidzee

We are located on College Road, right near the court in Keonjhar. This is a place for the little ones, mostly toddlers and preschoolers. Because of that, it’s rarely quiet here during the day. There are colorful drawings taped to the walls and toys scattered in the corners of the rooms. We spend a lot of time just watching over the kids and making sure they are safe while they play and learn together. The staff is mostly local women who have been with us for a good bit. It’s a small building but we try to use every inch of it for something useful. We have a small outdoor area where the kids can run around when the weather is nice. Keonjhar can get very hot, so we keep the indoors as cool as we can with the fans going. Parents drop their children off early in the morning before they head off to their own jobs. We see the same faces every single day. It’s a very casual atmosphere. We don't have big meetings or fancy presentations for the public. We just talk to the parents at the door when they come to pick up their kids in the afternoon. It’s a lot of cleaning up after snacks and helping little ones with their shoes and coats. It might seem chaotic to someone walking in, but there is a system to it all.
