Maa Coco Products

We have been running this small operation on College Road for quite some time now. Dealing with coconuts is a messy business, but it is what we know how to do. There are usually a few of us here every morning, cracking things open and processing the meat and the husks. It is a lot of manual work. The street outside stays busy with students and buses going by, which can be a bit distracting when we are trying to count inventory. We don't have a big fancy office or anything like that. Just the workspace where the machines are. It gets hot in the afternoons, especially during the summer months. People from the neighborhood sometimes pop in to see what we are doing or to ask for a bit of oil or some shells. We just keep our heads down and get the orders filled. It is not a glamorous life, but it is steady. We try to keep things organized, though sometimes the piles of husks get a bit out of hand. The floor is usually covered in some kind of dust or fiber. We have a small desk in the corner for the paperwork, but mostly we are on our feet. If you walk down College Road, you will probably smell the coconut before you actually see the sign. It’s just how it is around here. Maa Coco Products just does our bit and we go home at the end of the day feeling tired.
