Gonasika Junior Science College

Gonasika Junior Science College is located in Kashipur, which is part of Keonjhargarh here in Odisha. We’re a bit away from the main hustle of the big cities, sitting right in the 758001 area. It’s a science college, so we have our labs and classrooms set up for the local students who are interested in those subjects. The building is functional and does what it needs to do. We spend a lot of time dealing with lab equipment, textbooks, and the daily needs of young people trying to pass their exams. It’s not a fancy place with a lot of high-tech gadgets, but we have the essentials. The staff here are mostly from around Keonjhar, so we know the community and what the families are looking for. We don't spend much time on fancy talk or brochures. Instead, we’re usually busy setting up experiments or making sure the lecture halls are clean for the next day. The weather in this part of Odisha can be quite varied, so we deal with the heat and the rain as it comes. It’s a quiet life for the most part, focused on the curriculum and making sure the students are where they need to be. Most of the people who come here are just looking for a solid education close to home. We’re just here to keep the doors open and the lessons going.
