Dream For Change Foundation

Our office is located in Mandua, right in front of the Womenscollege in Keonjhar. We are set up at Mamashree Sahoo’s place. It’s a good location because the college makes it a landmark that everyone knows. The building has an old-fashioned look with a small gate out front. We spend our days working on different projects for the foundation. It’s not a large office, just a few rooms that we’ve converted for our needs. We have a lot of books and papers stacked on the shelves because we do a lot of research and planning. The windows look out toward the college gate, so we see the students coming and going all day. Sometimes we have meetings on the porch when it gets too stuffy inside. We don't have a lot of fancy technology, just one old computer and a printer that acts up sometimes. Most of our work involves talking to the local people and figuring out what needs to be changed in the community. We are a small team and we all know each other well. It’s a very informal environment. We don’t wear suits or anything like that. We just dress in regular clothes and get to work. The tea stall down the street is where we usually get our morning snacks. It’s a simple life here in Keonjhar, and we are just trying to do our part from this little office. We hope to stay here for a long time because the neighbors are very kind to us.
