Ahwan Foundation

Ahwan Foundation is out in Keonjhar, specifically at Plot No-369/498 in Mouza-Tentulinanda. We are within the Sadar Tahasil and PS Sadar area. It’s a very scenic part of the country, though it gets quite dusty during the dry season. Our office is a simple structure on a plot of land that we’ve been using for a while now. We don't have much in the way of decoration. There are some maps on the wall and a few heavy desks that took four people to move in. We work mostly with the local community in the Keonjhar-758014 area. A lot of our time is spent visiting the nearby villages, so the office is often empty until late afternoon when we come back to do the paperwork. We have a small water cooler in the corner that everyone relies on during the hot months. The road leading to our plot isn't always the smoothest, but we don't mind the bumps. We deal with a lot of practical matters like land issues or helping people with their forms. It’s honest work that keeps us busy from sunrise to sunset. There aren't any big titles here; everyone just pitches in with whatever needs doing, whether it’s sweeping the floor or answering the phone. It’s a quiet life in Tentulinanda, but there’s always something to keep us occupied and plenty of work to get through each week.
