Vedanta Aluminium Ltd,Jharsuguda

We've been out here in Thauri for a while now. Kendrapara is a quiet spot, and our place at Vedanta Aluminium Ltd,Jharsuguda is right in the middle of it. Most of us get here early before the sun gets too high because the work is heavy. It's about aluminium, obviously. We spend most of the day dealing with the logistics and the actual moving of materials. Sometimes the trucks are late or the weather in Orissa makes things difficult, but that's just how it goes. People in the village know us. It isn't a fancy office with glass walls or anything like that. There isn't any fancy lobby. It’s a workplace where things get done. We have a gate and some sheds. We drink tea during breaks and talk about whatever is happening in the news. It’s not a complicated setup. We just handle the aluminium side of things here. There are plenty of us from around the local area working shifts. We don't really do much advertising or anything because the work speaks for itself. It’s just a regular part of the landscape now. We focus on the daily tasks and making sure the loads get sent out where they need to go. It keeps everyone busy and things moving along at a steady pace.
