Prativbha Industries Limited is a bit of an unusual setup because our main operations are in Mumbai, but the address for correspondence is Flat 103 in Kendrapara, Orissa. So, a lot of the letters and official paperwork end up here in Kendrapara instead of the city. Living in Orissa and handling things for a Mumbai-based industrial company keeps things interesting for us. You spend a lot of time on the phone or checking the post office for updates. Kendrapara is a lot quieter and slower than Mumbai, that is for sure. The flat is where all the records are kept and where the mail is sorted every day. It is not a factory floor with machines here, just a quiet residential spot where the administrative side of the business gets handled. Sometimes it feels like we are living in two different worlds at once. One world is the heavy industry stuff happening in Mumbai and the other is the calm life we have here in Orissa. We handle the official documents and stamps from this room. People might wonder why a Mumbai company has an address way out in Orissa, but that is just how things are set up for now. We do not have a big sign outside the flat. It is just a regular home that acts as a contact point. It is a bit different, but it works fine. We just keep track of the files.
